NSW Preschools are non-profit community based centres which have been built by communities and reflect the diversity and needs of each community.
They are managed and run by members of the community
.

Community Based Preschools are about children, families, education and community.

CHOOSING A PRESCHOOL

There are 800 community based preschools operating in NSW – all are supported by their local communities and they play an integral part in the lives of the child through education and family support.

Current research shows that quality preschool education, in addition to its immediate benefits for children and families, significantly improves a child's later life opportunities by giving them increased language, learning and social skills on entry to primary school. The benefits are long lasting.
